New in Canada Today (Friday, Sept. 18): Outlander: Blood of My Blood, Jaÿ-Z in 8, MobLand and Ten Films on Crave

Friday is the week's quietest night on Canadian television and its busiest morning on Canadian streaming. TVmaze's listings for the country today carry a single entry — 100 Huntley Street at 9 a.m. on Yes TV — and no English-Canadian original in prime time. What arrives instead arrives as files.
Crave takes the day. Counting Bell Media's overview against MobileSyrup's month list gives ten films posting at once, most from the Starz library, plus two series people have been waiting for. Wednesday's Neagley drop was one title carrying a whole day; today is the opposite shape.
Bottom line:
- Outlander: Blood of My Blood opens its second season on the Starz add-on at 9 p.m. ET, and the HBO documentary Jaÿ-Z in 8 posts two episodes.
- Netflix Canada keeps it light: four titles at 3 a.m. ET, three of them catalogue films.
- MobLand returns to Paramount+ for a second season, and Thursday's CTV2 premiere of The Traitors: New Blood should reach Crave today.
What lands on Crave today, and at what time?
Two of today's Crave additions carry a clock. Outlander: Blood of My Blood starts Season 2 at 9 p.m. ET on the Starz channel, the same Friday-night hour Starz uses in the United States, and Jaÿ-Z in 8 opens with two episodes of Rick Rubin interviewing him about the catalogue.
The films carry no stated hour, which in practice means they are there when you wake up: The Sixth Sense, Civil War, The Zone of Interest, Boogie Nights, Beast, The Gates, Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The American Dream and the Canadian titles Cairo Time and Racewalkers. Our explainer on HBO and Max titles in Canada covers why they land here rather than on an HBO Max subscription.

Is The Traitors: New Blood on Crave in Canada yet?
It should be. CTV2 aired the two-hour premiere Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, and CTV's fall shows go to Crave the day after broadcast — which puts episodes 1 and 2 on the service today. Bell Media's overview files the spin-off under next-day Crave titles without pinning a morning to it, so if it is not there yet, check again after lunch; not confirmed at time of writing.
One more Crave line worth flagging: Channel Canada's week rundown lists Howard Stern bonus episodes today, which settles the question we left open on Thursday about whether Crave carries the filmed show in Canada. Bell Media's own September overview still does not name it.
The American spin-off and the Canadian show are separate games four days apart. Sister site CA Reality On Air has the Traitors Canada Season 4 date and time.
Did Netflix Canada add anything today?
Four titles, one of them new work: Best of the Best, a Netflix film. Happy Feet, Happy Feet Two and the fifth season of Live PD: Police Patrol fill out a thin Friday. Everything posts at 12 a.m. PT — 3 a.m. in Toronto, 4:30 a.m. in St. John's. Our September side-by-side of Crave and Netflix has the month in full.
Where can I watch MobLand Season 2 in Canada?
Paramount+ Canada, from today, alongside the exclusive film Four Letters of Love. The Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren crime series is a Paramount+ Original, so there is no Canadian broadcaster in the chain and no next-day wait.
What else shows up on Prime Video and Disney+?
Prime Video Canada posts the indie horror Obsession, The Get Out, the Spanish-language La Broma Maestra and the French-language Toi+Moi Seuls Contre Tous — the Canadian catalogue stocks both official languages. Disney+ Canada has new episodes of FX's Adults and the Korean series Flex X Cop, both second seasons, plus the Dancing with the Stars podcast at noon ET. Which broadcaster carries each American series is in our network map.
What time does each title arrive in Canada?
| Service | What lands | When (ET) |
|---|---|---|
| Netflix | Best of the Best; Happy Feet; Happy Feet Two; Live PD: Police Patrol, Season 5 | 3 a.m. |
| Prime Video | Obsession; The Get Out; La Broma Maestra; Toi+Moi Seuls Contre Tous | 3 a.m. |
| Paramount+ | MobLand, Season 2; Four Letters of Love | overnight |
| Crave | Jaÿ-Z in 8, two episodes; ten films incl. The Sixth Sense, Civil War | Friday |
| Starz on Crave | Outlander: Blood of My Blood, Season 2 premiere | 9 p.m. |

Streaming drops are absolute — 3 a.m. ET is midnight on the coast — while the 9 p.m. Starz slot is local. The week's full list is in our roundup for the week of Sept. 14, and the Survivor timing post explains the simulcast rule that governs next week's premieres.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an extra subscription for Outlander: Blood of My Blood?
Yes. Starz is an add-on to Crave in Canada, not part of the base plan.
Is anything premiering on Canadian TV tonight?
No. The fall premieres start Monday with The Voice on CTV2 and The Traitors Canada on CTV.
Why do Crave films have no drop time?
Bell Media gives hours to scheduled series; catalogue films simply appear on the day, usually overnight.
