What Time Is Survivor On in Canada? Global's Wednesday Slot, STACKTV and the Paramount+ Question
Search “what time is Survivor on” from a Canadian address and half the answers are written for someone in Ohio. The Canadian one is shorter: Global carries it, Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on your local feed, at the same minute as CBS.
Season 51 starts on Wednesday, Sept. 23, and the American pages pointing you at Paramount+ are describing a service that has not confirmed the new season here. Here is the whole picture, broadcast and streaming, before next week.

Eight o'clock on Wednesday nights, on whichever Global feed your provider carries. Because Global simulcasts the CBS broadcast, the clock reads the same in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver.

When does Survivor 51 start, and how long are the episodes?
Wednesday, Sept. 23, with a two-hour premiere running 8–10 p.m. Corus published that date on Aug. 13 as part of Global's fall slate, and the CBS release naming Global for Canada followed on Aug. 26.
From Sept. 30 the season runs 90 minutes a week, 8 to 9:30 p.m. Twenty-one new castaways play, Jeff Probst hosts, and the production is billing the season as the start of an “Open Era” in which any twist, idol or advantage from the show's 25 years can reappear in any order.
Can you stream Survivor in Canada without cable?
STACKTV is the answer Corus gives. It carries Global's channels for $14.99 a month, sold on its own or as a Prime Video channel, and it holds both the newest episode and older seasons.
The Global TV App and globaltv.com also post episodes after they air, though the full library asks you to sign in with a participating TV provider. If a provider login is what you were trying to avoid, STACKTV is the one that does not need one.
Is Survivor on Paramount+ in Canada?
Past seasons, yes. Paramount+ sells in Canada from $6.99 a month and Canadian listings show Survivor in its catalogue, with Season 49 added in October 2025.
The new season is where it gets murky. Paramount's American pages promise Survivor 51 on Paramount+, but those pages describe the US service, and neither Corus nor Paramount has published a Canadian streaming plan for this season. We checked both on Sept. 17 and found nothing. Until one of them says otherwise, treat Global and STACKTV as the confirmed route on premiere night and Paramount+ as unsettled. Rights splitting this way is normal here, which is the point of our map of which Canadian network carries each American show.
Why does Global air it at the same minute as CBS?
Simultaneous substitution. When a Canadian broadcaster airs the same programme in the same time slot as an American station, it can ask to have its own signal — and its own ads — put over the US feed on your cable or satellite box.
That rule is why Global schedules so much of its week against the US clock: Corus told advertisers it would run 16.5 hours of simulcast a week this fall. It is also why the show almost never shifts by an hour here, unlike the titles in our week-by-week roundup that arrive a day behind.
Are there Canadians on Survivor 51?
Two, both from Ontario. Ana Sani, 34, a voice actress from Richmond Hill who now lives in Toronto, and Danny “Kilby” Kilby, 30, a game designer from Mount Forest who lives in London.
Global made a point of it when the cast was revealed on Aug. 26, and a Canadian in the mix tends to matter for the numbers here — the audience sticks around longer when somebody on the beach is from down the road.
