Global times are Corus's ET/PT listings. "See CTV" means the release we used gave a date but no hour.
The gist: there's no one-to-one match, so CBS shows are split between Global and CTV, and ABC shows land on three different Canadian networks. Look up the show, not the US network.
- Global (Corus) has the biggest CBS block, led by Survivor on Sept. 23.
- SNL is new to CTV and Crave this fall.
- Dancing with the Stars is the one to double-check, because Citytv's listed debut is a day after ABC's.
What channel is Survivor on in Canada?
Global. Season 51 starts Wednesday, Sept. 23 with a two-hour episode from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT, then settles into a 90-minute slot from Sept. 30, per Corus. Channel Canada's calendar lists the same premiere as "Global & CBS."
Global's fall schedule streams on STACKTV and the Global TV App, and Corus calls Survivor Canada's most-watched reality series.
Is Saturday Night Live on CTV now?
Yes. SNL joins CTV's Saturday line-up at 11:30 p.m. ET, with Season 52 opening Sept. 26. Bell Media's Crave schedule lists the episode on Crave on Sept. 27.
CTV2 keeps NBC's The Tonight Show and Late Night with Seth Meyers, though Bell hadn't dated their new seasons when it released the fall schedule.
Why is Dancing with the Stars a day late on Citytv?
We can't fully confirm it is yet. ABC premieres Season 35 on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET, but Channel Canada's fall calendar lists Citytv's first airing on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
Citytv hasn't posted a Tuesday listing we could verify. Tonight's Canadian TV guide has the latest, and we'll adjust this row once Citytv's own schedule shows it.
What is simultaneous substitution?
It's a CRTC rule. When a Canadian station airs the same program at the same time as a US station, it can ask cable and satellite companies to replace the American feed with its own signal.
That's why the CBS channel on a Canadian TV package can show Global's ads during Survivor. It only works when the two broadcasts line up, which is also why Canadian networks prefer to air US shows in their original slot.
Which ABC shows are on CTV and which are on Global?
CTV has Grey's Anatomy and 9-1-1: Nashville, both back on Oct. 15, plus R.J. Decker, whose second season started rolling out Sept. 15. Global has the original 9-1-1, also Oct. 15 at 8 p.m., and Abbott Elementary on Oct. 7 at 10:30 p.m.
Put another way, the 9-1-1 franchise itself is split between two Canadian owners this fall.
NBC's America's Got Talent is on Citytv, and its season finale is listed there for Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. ET. TVmaze has NBC's finale results episode on the same date.
Where do Canadian originals fit on these networks?
They fill gaps between US simulcasts. Global debuts Private Eyes West Coast on Sept. 30 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, and Citytv has Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent back on Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. CBC's fall originals, which stream free, are covered in our CBC Gem section.

Which NBC and ABC comedies are on CTV this fall?
A handful, spread across October and November. Channel Canada's calendar has Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on "CTV & ABC" from Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET, and CTV brings back Scrubs for its second season on Sept. 30 with two episodes.
NBC's St. Denis Medical returns on Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. ET and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins follows at 8:30, both listed as "CTV & NBC." All of CTV's fall schedule streams on Crave the next day, per Bell Media.
