What Channel Is Grey's Anatomy Season 23 On in Canada? CTV Times by City and Streaming

Grey's Anatomy returned for Season 23 on Thursday, Oct. 15, and in Canada the first question isn't the date. It's which channel, because ABC's Thursday line-up doesn't travel north as one block. The three shows ABC runs back to back are split between two Canadian networks.
The second question is the hour. Toronto and Vancouver get the same clock time as ABC, but Calgary and Halifax see the episode two hours earlier on the dial, and that isn't a time-zone conversion.
- Quick answer: Grey's Anatomy airs on CTV in Canada, Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. PT, starting Oct. 15 with the Season 23 opener “Collide.”
- Calgary and Halifax stations run it at 8 p.m. local, Winnipeg and Regina at 9 p.m., according to each station's own schedule feed.
- 9-1-1: Nashville leads in on CTV at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The original 9-1-1 is on Global, not CTV, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
What channel is Grey's Anatomy on in Canada?
CTV. Bell Media's fall schedule, as published by Channel Canada on Sept. 3, lists Grey's Anatomy and 9-1-1: Nashville returning on Oct. 15 without a time. CTV's station schedules for Toronto and Vancouver fill that in: Grey's Anatomy, episode one, “Collide,” at 10 p.m. local on Thursday, Oct. 15.
That's the same night and the same Eastern hour as ABC, which has Season 23 at 10 p.m. ET per the fall dates TVLine compiled. So in Ontario and B.C. you aren't waiting for a delayed feed. Our fall 2026 channel map has the rest of the ABC, CBS and NBC shows.
What time is Grey's Anatomy on in Canada, city by city?
These are the Oct. 15 start times from each CTV station's published schedule, not ET minus a number of hours. One station we checked, St. John's, returned no listing, so we've left it as “check local listings” rather than fill in a guess.
| Station | Local time, Thursday, Oct. 15 | What's on before it |
|---|---|---|
| CTV Toronto (CFTO) | 10 p.m. ET | 9-1-1: Nashville at 9 p.m. |
| CTV Vancouver (CIVT) | 10 p.m. PT | 9-1-1: Nashville at 9 p.m. |
| CTV Calgary (CFCN) | 8 p.m. MT | 9-1-1: Nashville follows at 10 p.m. |
| CTV Winnipeg (CKY) | 9 p.m. CT | 9-1-1: Nashville at 8 p.m. |
| CTV Regina (CKCK) | 9 p.m. CST | 9-1-1: Nashville at 8 p.m. |
| CTV Atlantic (Halifax) | 8 p.m. AT | 9-1-1: Nashville follows at 10 p.m. |
| CTV Edmonton (CFRN) | 8 p.m. MT | 9-1-1: Nashville follows at 10 p.m. |
| St. John's, N.L. | Check local listings | No listing returned |
Notice the flip. In Calgary, Edmonton and Halifax, Grey's Anatomy runs first at 8 p.m. and 9-1-1: Nashville comes after it at 10. In Winnipeg and Regina the order matches Toronto's, just an hour earlier on the clock. This table is for Oct. 15; B.C. and Alberta aren't changing their clocks on Nov. 1, so check it again in November.

Why is 9-1-1 on Global but 9-1-1: Nashville on CTV?
Because Corus and Bell bought them separately. Corus Entertainment's Aug. 13 release puts 9-1-1 Season 10 on Global on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the same slot ABC uses. The spinoff went to Bell, so 9-1-1: Nashville, episode one, “Going Rogue,” sits on CTV at 9 p.m. ET/PT right before Grey's Anatomy.
It's the same reason the CBS Tuesday block landed on Global for all three NCIS series while Tracker went to CTV.
Where can you stream Grey's Anatomy in Canada?
Crave is the Bell service. Bell Media's own Grey's Anatomy page lists Season 22 as available for streaming on Crave, and Bell's usual arrangement for CTV's American series is the day after broadcast. We haven't confirmed when the Season 23 episodes reach Crave; we'll note the drop time here once Bell's listing shows it.
Guides that point you at Disney+ are written for other countries. Outside North America, Disney+ is the series' streaming home, which is why those pages turn up in Canadian searches. Here the broadcast rights sit with Bell, the same way The Voice is CTV and Crave rather than Peacock. October's other Crave arrivals are in our new on Crave in October list.
Is Grey's Anatomy simulcast in Canada?
In the East and West, yes. CTV Toronto's 10 p.m. ET matches ABC's Eastern feed and CTV Vancouver's 10 p.m. PT matches ABC's Pacific feed, so the CRTC's simultaneous substitution rule applies and your ABC channel can show CTV's signal during the episode.
In Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Regina and Halifax the local CTV station doesn't line up with the ABC feed most providers carry, so you'll see two different broadcasts at two different hours. Citytv's Dancing with the Stars has the same spread on Tuesdays. For what else is new on Canadian services this week, start with Sunday's rundown and the CTV, Global and Citytv section.
