What Time Is The Voice On in Canada? CTV at 8 p.m. Mondays, Crave the Next Day

Every September the same thing happens. American pages tell you The Voice is on NBC at 8/7c, Canadian search results disagree with each other about whether it's CTV or CTV Two, and you end up guessing at the remote.

Bell Media settled it for Season 30 on its own show page: CTV, Mondays at 8 p.m., starting Sept. 21, with the episode on Crave the next day. Here's the rest of it — the time in every zone, the three-night opening week NBC has planned, and which part of that has not been confirmed for Canada.

What time is The Voice on in Canada?

Eight o'clock on Monday nights, on your local CTV feed. Because CTV simulcasts NBC, the hour on the clock is the same whether you're watching in Halifax, Toronto or Vancouver — only the Atlantic and Newfoundland feeds shift.

That is the friendly version of a Canadian air time. Plenty of American series land here a day late instead, which is the whole reason Dancing with the Stars on Citytv generates so much confusion each week.

Is The Voice on CTV or CTV Two?

CTV. The confusion is earned, though: Channel Canada's archive shows CTV Two carrying the show in 2013, back when it was drawing 1.1 million viewers on the smaller network, and the series has moved between the two Bell Media channels over the years.

For this season, Bell Media's own listing is unambiguous about the main CTV network, and ctv.ca hosts the show's episode collections. If a listings grid in your cable box still says CTV Two, trust the broadcaster's page and check both channels on Monday.

When does Season 30 start, and is premiere week really three nights?

Monday, Sept. 21 is the start in both countries. In the US, NBC has stretched the opening into three consecutive nights: two hours Monday, then an hour on Tuesday, Sept. 22 and an hour on Wednesday, Sept. 23, for four hours of Blind Auditions in one week.

Whether CTV carries the Tuesday and Wednesday hours is not confirmed at time of writing. Bell Media's page describes a Monday slot and nothing else, and CTV has other premieres those nights. We'll update this page once CTV's grid for that week is published.

Can you stream The Voice in Canada?

Crave, the next day. That is the same route CTV now uses for most of its schedule, and it means a Monday episode is waiting on Tuesday without a cable login.

Peacock, which is where American viewers go, doesn't sell in Canada, so the US instructions you'll find are no help here. Why does CTV run it at the same minute as NBC?

Simultaneous substitution. A Canadian broadcaster airing the same programme in the same slot as an American station can ask to have its own signal, and its own advertising, placed over the US feed on your provider's box.

Who is coaching Season 30?

Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson return to the red chairs, joined by two first-timers: Queen Latifah and country singer Riley Green. Carson Daly hosts, as he has since the beginning.

Thirty seasons in, the panel turnover is the show's main lever, and this is a bigger reset than most — half the chairs are new.
