Sunday's new stuff is almost all on regular TV. Global has the awards show, then Citytv runs four premieres in a row. Streaming is quiet.

What time are the VMAs on in Canada tonight?

Global has the ceremony live at 7:30 p.m. ET, which is 4:30 p.m. on the West Coast, as CBS carries it in the U.S. Yahoo Canada's viewing guide and Channel Canada's two-week grid both list Global for Sunday night, and the grid calls it a two-hour special.

Snoop Dogg hosts from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, per CTV News. Madonna opens the show and leads the field with 13 nominations. Taylor Swift has 11, Sabrina Carpenter nine and Ariana Grande eight. Tate McRae is the top Canadian nominee with three, including Best Pop. Channel Canada's listing adds that Nirvana receives the Video Vanguard Award.

Missed it live? Yahoo Canada says Paramount+ subscribers can stream the show the next day. Whether that applies to the Canadian Paramount+ library as well as the U.S. one is not confirmed at time of writing.

Is The Simpsons back on Citytv tonight?

Yes. Rogers Sports & Media's fall schedule, reprinted by Channel Canada, lists Sunday, Sept. 27 for new seasons of The Simpsons, Animal Control, Universal Basic Guys and Grimsburg. FOX's own premiere release puts them in that order, each a half-hour, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

The Simpsons opens Season 38 at 8 p.m. ET with "The Children's Book Job." One slot doesn't match. FOX has Animal Control at 8:30, but Channel Canada's grid prints it at 9 p.m. on Citytv, the same time as Universal Basic Guys. Citytv's exact half-hour is not confirmed at time of writing, so record by series, not by time.

Is last night's SNL on Crave yet?

Yes. Bell Media's September Crave overview and MobileSyrup's Crave list both date Season 52, Episode 1 for today. That's the Jalen Brunson and KATSEYE premiere that went out live on CTV at 11:30 p.m. ET Saturday. Why it moved from Global is in yesterday's list; our SNL time page tracks the weekly slot.

Is there anything new on Netflix, Disney+ or CBC Gem today?

Not today. MobileSyrup's September lists show nothing for Sept. 27 on Netflix Canada, Disney+ Canada or CBC Gem. Netflix's next drop is Tuesday, Sept. 29, with LEGO One Piece. Disney+ Canada gets The Simpsons Season 38 premiere Monday, and CBC Gem adds the documentary The Poison Seller the same day.

A correction on Paramount+: yesterday we said the Lioness Season 3 finale would land there today. MobileSyrup's Paramount+ list does date it Sept. 27, but Wikipedia's episode table and Rolling Out both have "The Unravelling" releasing Sept. 20 at 3 a.m. ET. On that evidence it's probably already streaming, and the Sept. 27 date is not confirmed.

Are the Citytv cartoons on Disney+ in Canada?
The Simpsons is. MobileSyrup lists the Season 38 premiere on Disney+ Canada on Monday, Sept. 28, a day after Citytv.
